Paolo Ven B. Paculan or SerPao is currently the Filipino Subject Area Coordinator of the Ateneo de Manila Junior High School. He is the author of Florante at Laura: Kritikal at Interaktibong Edisyon, published by the Ateneo de Manila University Press. Recently he has been involved in translating and recording for Sandaang Salaysay, a podcast series featuring Filipino legends and other heritage texts. His Magisterial Lecture on Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere is available on the Areté Ateneo YouTube channel. And he can be heard every Wednesday 6-630PM on DZRJ 810AM as co-host to Radyo Turo-Guro, a radio show for teachers of Filipino language and literature. He is a consultant and writer for the Mama Sita Foundation and enjoys testing his research in the kitchen with his family.
Pia Arboleda
Recipient of the 2015 Regent's Medal for Excellence in Teaching, Pia Arboleda is Director of the Center for Philippine Studies and Coordinator of the Filipino and Philippine Literature Program at the University of Hawai''i at Manoa. She holds a Doctor of Arts degree in Language and Literature. She produces multi-media bilingual materials on folklore and indigenous culture; and is a Filipino <> English translator.
Cecille Nepomuceno Gamad
Ces has been working for Mama Sita's since 2007, developing the narratives behind the flavors of Philippine heritage cuisine. A communicator at heart, she loves to write stories, sharing her discoveries to both a local and global audience. This working mom's many projects may have brought her to far corners of the world, letting her sample flavors from Asia, the Middle East, US, and Europe, but what makes her smile the most is the taste of simple home-cooked meals accompanied by the music of family conversation.
Markee Micu
Markee is a Baguio native and a San Francisco transplant currently based in Honolulu. He joined the Center for Philippine Studies and the Filipino Language and Culture Program last year and spearheaded a webinar on the West Philippine Sea. He is also one of the Co-Founders of the Baliktanaw Conference–a student-initiated virtual conference aimed at addressing the issues faced by the Filipino diaspora.
Matthew Yuching
Matthew Yuching is an AB Communication senior at Ateneo de Manila University. His passion for food began after doing fieldwork in Cebu for three weeks. In his free time, he likes to watch food videos and documentaries, play video games with friends, and reading the occasional book.
Precious Mae Arao
Precious Arao is lecturer at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and Kapi'olani Community College. She teaches Filipino as a second language primarily to beginners. In addition, she also teaches Philippine culture courses such as Philippine Folklore. Precious received her Masters degree in Second Language Studies from the Department of Second Language Studies at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Filipino Language and Literature also from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.
Camille Lita
Camille is the current project head of Mama Sita Foundation’s Mga Kuwentong Pagkain: Eskwela Edition in the Philippines. She started looking at food seriously when she binge-watched the cheese series of Food Insider on the internet. She is also an advocate of advocacy and responsible journalism. She served as an active member of the Union of Journalists of the Philippines-UP and she also wrote stories for the Philippine Collegian, UP Diliman’s official student publication.
After graduating cum laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in Philippine Studies, she is still exploring her options whether to pursue food, culture, or a combination of both for her master’s degree plans
Marc Lemuel Gonzales
Marc Lemuel Gonzales is a 20-year-old digital artist and a third-year Visual Communication student at the University of the Philippines-Diliman. Raised in the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Pampanga, Gonzales usually illustrates Filipino sceneries in his art pieces.
Aina Ramolete
Aina is currently part of the design team of Mama Sita’s Mga Kuwentong Pagkain project. She is a graduating student of BA Art Studies from the University of the Philippines Diliman with backgrounds on visual arts and theatre.
Jomar Menendez
Jomar holds an A.S degree in Television Production from Leeward Community College and is now pursuing a B.A. in Information & Computer Science at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He enjoys photography, cooking, writing, and painting.
